Start With the Proposal Behind the Product Name
If you are comparing garage floor paint with a coating system in Vero Beach or elsewhere in the service area, ask what work is actually included. A label on a product or an attractive photograph does not establish preparation, performance or the final scope.
DJ Epoxy Solutions evaluates flooring installations through its garage epoxy flooring service. This guide helps you compare proposals; it does not offer a separate garage painting service.
Compare Preparation Before Appearance
Explain what is already on the floor: bare concrete, paint, an older coating, stains or areas that are peeling. Ask how the surface will be evaluated and prepared, and which necessary corrections belong in the flooring scope.
Grinding and concrete corrections are preparation for a coating installation at DJ, rather than independent repair services. A low spot or drainage concern also needs evaluation; a decorative coating should not be assumed to correct its cause.

Ask What the Complete System Includes
- Which preparation and removal tasks are included?
- What products and finish are proposed for this concrete?
- Which layers or decorative materials are included?
- What conditions or exclusions apply to the estimate?
Two proposals described as “epoxy” may cover different work. Ask for a written explanation rather than assuming their prices represent the same installation.
Discuss Vehicles, Cleaning and Exposure
Describe how the garage is used, the vehicles stored there, cleaning products and any water exposure. Ask how the proposed system addresses those conditions. Do not treat a general “hot tire resistant” or “coastal grade” phrase as a guarantee for every application.
Ask for the actual care instructions and applicable written project terms. No universal service life or paint-versus-coating replacement interval is established by this guide.
Choose Samples and Plan Access
Ask what samples are available, how the finish should be selected and what must be removed from the garage. Confirm access and the installation sequence separately from the time before parking again.
DJ’s general guide after completed installation is approximately 8 hours before walking and 72 hours before vehicles or heavy use, subject to the selected system, conditions and Javier’s project instructions. These references are not a promise of full cure or a fixed installation schedule.
Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Floor
Is the cheapest material price the cheapest finished project?
Not necessarily. Compare the same measured area, removal, preparation, complete system and scope.
Can a new coating simply cover peeling paint?
The existing material and substrate need assessment. Ask what must be removed and how preparation will be verified.
Should I choose by the color alone?
Use appearance as one part of the decision. The system must also be evaluated for the actual concrete and intended use.
Discuss Your Actual Floor
Request an on-site flooring estimate or call (321) 398-1343. Explain the existing surface, approximate area and intended use.
